Book's Overview

This book is about Bush's life before and during his presidency. There were a lot of decisions had been made by Bush from earlier life, such as the following:
1. Decision to quit drinking in 1886
2. Decision to run for Governor of Texas and then President of the United States.

The book also mentioned about events incurred during his presidency, for example:
1. the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks,
2. the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan,
3. aid to developing countries,
4. the "surge" (a decision to deploy more U.S. troops to Iraq in 2007),
5. domestic issues (including Medicare Part D, Social Security reform, No Child Left Behind, and Immigration reform),
6. the federal response to Hurricane Katrina, stem-cell research, and
7. the financial crisis of 2008.
